Who we are
Maui Doggy Daycare is a dog daycare in Rilland, Zeeland, run by Juvena Schreiber. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: [KVK]. You can reach us at [email protected] or +31 6 39 83 21 42. Maui is responsible for the data in this statement.
What data we use
- Your name, email address and phone number, when you book an intro meeting, message us or become a client.
- Your address, when you become a client. We need it for the invoice.
- Details about your dog: name, breed, age, health, vaccinations and behaviour. Without these we can't care for your dog safely.
- Your request not to use, or to remove, a specific photo or video of you or your children.
- Website data, only if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. See Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity below.
Why we use it
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Planning the intro meeting, contact | name, email, phone | contract (and the steps before it) |
| Care, emergency contact | contact details, dog details | contract |
| Invoices and accounts | name, address, invoice details | legal obligation |
| Photos with people in them | image of the person | legitimate interest (you can always object) |
| Website statistics | see below | consent (cookie banner) |
Photos and videos
During care we take photos and videos of the dogs. We use them on our website, on social media, on our Google Business Profile, on Apple Maps and for other promotion. The rules are in article 9 of our terms. We mention at most the dog's first name. Your name, address and other details are never published, and we don't tag you without consent.
- Images showing only your dog are part of the service. For the current services you can't switch this off. If Maui later offers a premium service, you can choose there that images of your dog are not used publicly.
- Images with people in them, for example at a public event: you can always ask us via WhatsApp or email not to use, or to remove, a specific photo or video of you or your children. We then take the image off our own channels, or make the person unrecognisable. We can't recall what others have already shared.
Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We use these services for our work:
- Cal.com, to plan the intro meeting.
- Google, for email, calendar, website statistics (Google Analytics) and our business profile.
- Microsoft, for website statistics (Clarity).
- Apple, for our listing on Apple Maps.
- Meta, for WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook.
- Buffer, to schedule social media posts.
- folk (folk.app), our client list. It records which dog belongs to which owner.
- Claude (by Anthropic), an AI assistant that helps us with email and calendar. It connects through Composio.
- Cloudflare, to host the website.
Some of these services process data outside the EU. This is done under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how visitors use our website. This only happens after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you choose "Decline" or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and we measure nothing. After you accept, we measure which pages you visit and whether you click a contact button (WhatsApp, phone, email, booking an appointment or joining the waiting list), so we can see which pages lead to contact. Google processes this data under Google's privacy terms. Your choice is stored in your browser. If you clear this website's stored data in your browser, the banner appears again and you can choose again.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website. Clarity makes session recordings and heatmaps: it records how you interact with the page (mouse movements, scrolling and clicks). This only happens after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner; if you choose "Decline" or make no choice, Clarity is not loaded. What you type into form fields (such as your name, email address and phone number) is masked and not recorded. Microsoft processes this data as a processor; data may be processed outside the EU under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the EU standard contractual clauses. Microsoft keeps the data according to Clarity's retention policy.
QR codes
If you scan a Maui QR code (for example on a business card or flyer), we count that scan anonymously. We only store which QR code it was, the country, the type of device (phone, tablet or computer) and your browser's language setting. No IP address, no cookies and nothing that can identify you.
How long we keep data
- Intro meeting with no follow-up: 6 months after the meeting.
- Client data: 2 years after the last care day.
- Invoices and accounts: 7 years. The law requires this.
- Photos with people in them: as long as the image is online, or until you ask us to remove it.
Your rights
You may view, correct or delete your data. You may also object, limit how we use it, or have it transferred. You can withdraw consent at any time. Send your request via WhatsApp or to [email protected]. You'll get an answer within a month. Data we must keep by law, such as invoices, is only deleted once that period is over.
Not happy?
Tell us first and we'll work it out together. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
